Domaine Michelot Meursault 1er Cru Genevrieres

This Meursault 1er Cru Genevrières comes from Les Genevrières-Dessus with some vines up to 80 or 90 years old. It is more introspective on the nose compared to Les Charmes; however, it shares the same mineralité with subtle flint-like scents emerging with time and complemented by pressed white flowers. The palate is well balanced with fine tension, focused and tensile with just a touch of reduction toward the finish. This constitutes a stylish expression of the vineyard, a Meursault that probably deserves 3 or 4 years in bottle.
