Softly she goes. Taking inspiration from the soft water flowing in The Lake District, this gentle pale ale is a fruity pillow, perfect for pints!

Gan Yam is a small brewery, owned and operated by seven school friends from Kendal, Cumbria. The brewery started life in a 30 litre stock pot on a South London stove top, and has since made good on its name (Gan Yam is Cumbrian dialect for ‘going home’) by relocating north, back to the founders’ hometown.

We’ve been long time friends with a couple of the GY lads and have been really impressed with the beers that this crew have been releasing since they upgraded from the kitchen. We love the community spirit of their brewery and their collective ownership model is something that we’re excited to see develop and grow.
